about me

my creative vision

My current body of work is a reflection of the last few years of my life. Each canvas is a window into the complexities and joys of my personal experience, exploring universal themes from a close and human perspective.

I approach painting as painting; I don’t pursue photographic realism, but rather the authenticity of the brushstroke and the honesty of expression. I’m fascinated by playing with the figure, subtly distorting it so that, although less real, it becomes more authentic and resonates with the raw emotion of the moment.

My creative process is a constant dialogue with the materials. I use acrylics, oils, pastel chalks, and any surface that resonates with the piece—wood, recycled cardboard, canvas. This versatility allows me a freedom that translates into irregular textures which enrich the visual narrative. It’s an act of constant recycling and “re-thinking,” where every imperfection tells a story.

my creative journey

My artistic training and passion have been a journey of exploration and adaptation. My beginnings are rooted in sculpture, a discipline I cultivated in Venezuela before my move to Spain in 2014 led to a necessary reinvention of my practice due to space limitations, which prompted me to return to painting.

It was in Madrid where my painting path took shape, initially through painting lessons in local school. This foundation led me to eventually delve into editorial illustration. In parallel, my curiosity for anatomy, composition, and color theory has driven me to continuous self-study, enriching my visual language.

My work has led me to participate in various exhibitions and leave my mark in public spaces in several group shows in Madrid. Furthermore, I’ve created murals with the Artrvl platform in locations such as Johannesburg, Bangkok, Barcelona, and Lisbon. My participation in festivals in Latvia, specifically in Kuldiga and Liepaja (two editions), also highlight my foray into urban and large-format art.

Today, my interest is firmly focused on large-scale painting and mural creation, a return and evolution toward formats that allow for a more expansive expression and a more direct connection with the environment and the spectator.
